A continental breakfast with flaky pastries, salt free butter, and local jams.
And not to be missed, coffee on the deck overlooking the Mississippi River.
Or a cocktail at sunset for that matter.

We live next door.
You'll find this cottage to be your very own.
We will not disturb you for any reason.
We do not offer a fold down service.
It's a privacy thing we thought you might appreciate.
We do not visit you in the morning to make your bed.
You might want to stay in bed.
We try and provide only fresh linens for incoming guests - or when you request them.
We are trying to be eco friendly.
This is the land of gigantic oak trees, blooming azaleas, dogwood, and crepe myrtle, and the amazing Mississippi River with its bountiful wildlife.
Your cottage sits right beside the Mississippi at the entrance to Magnolia Vale, home to the same family since 1790.
Its original botanical gardens, once a famous stop for 19th century steamboat travelers, is now under reconstruction.
Also, this was once the site of historic Learned's Mill, the oldest cypress mill in the South.
Today, towboats navigate the winding river instead of paddle wheelers, their mighty engines rumbling as they push their cargo-laden barges to their destination. Kayaks often land just a few steps from your cottage.
